AGILITY CLASSES

Roxanne is an experienced and knowledgeable agility instructor. She has over 11 years experience in teaching the sport of agility and is an AAC judge. She is a member of the AAC - Agility Association of Canada, CKC - Canadian Kennel Club, AKC - American Kennel Club, FCRSC & FCRSA - Flat Coated Retrievers Clubs of Canada and America and the president of the Cariboo Agility Team. She competes at the Masters level in agility and has put ATCHC - Agility Trial Champion of Canada, titles on 3 of her flat coats along with numerous other agility, hunting, obedience titles.

All Equipment is safe and conforms to AAC standards. All 1 hour classes are structured with time at the beginning of the class to warm up your dog on familiar equipment. Dogs are not allowed to run amuck while classes are in progress. You must have control of your dog at all times. Aggressive dogs will not be allowed in class.

New classes starting: TBA

Times and level of classes will be determined once I have received confirmation from attendees.

New dogs which have not been introduced to equipment will not combine with experienced dogs. All equipment is taught using safe up-to-date methods.

Classes will be offered in a set of 6 classes. Cost for the set will be $85.00, payable at registration to guarantee your spot in the class. No refund for missed classes.

Dogs must have proof of puppy vaccines or proof of Titre testing in place of vaccines.

All dogs should have basic obedience before starting in agility.

Starters Agility Classes

for dogs that have not taken previous agility equipment training (or have only done partial) or those who wish to start over.
First class will be an introduction to clicker training. Covering sit stay and recall.
Dogs must be a minimum of 1 year of age. No females in heat. No aggressive dogs permitted.
Students will be introduced to agility equipment using positive clicker methods. Bring lots of treats. If your dog loves tug toys, bring that along.
Please bring a collar (no choke chains or pinch collars) and regular leash (no flexies)
and don't forget your sense of humour.

Repeat Dog Agility Classes

for dogs and handlers that have completed the Starters agility classes or have equivalent experience.
Must know how to perform all agility equipment.
Focus will be on handling skills and improving equipment performance.
Class will be structured around the dogs attending.
