A little about us - Roxanne and Terry Ziefflie

My husband and I owned and operated Paws Ahead Doggy Daycare and K-9 Sports Centre in Burnaby, B.C.until we sold the business in December 2007 to move to 108 Mile Ranch in the Cariboo. We have both been involved with dogs for many years and have fallen in love with the Flat Coated Retriever. I have always wanted to participate in a breeding program and will now have the time to do just that.  We have welcomed our newest Flat Coat in October 2008, click here  for regular updates of her progress.  This puppy will be the start of my new kennel - Radford Retrievers. She is from Eagletarn and Rockyhill lines.   Take a look at www.eagletarn.com for more information.

Roxanne Ziefflie

Roxanne taught Agility at Paws Ahead since 1998 and is continuing to teach in the Cariboo using only positive clicker training methods.  Her first agility dog Magic - FCR (1996 - 2003), earned her ATCHC ( Agility Trial Champion of Canada)  the hightest attainable level with the Agility Association of Canada (AAC).  She also competed in Advance level in NADAC,(USA) and earned her  FDCH (Flyball Dog Champion) title, CD title in obedience and also has her CGC (Canine Good Citizenship). Ginger (now retired) trialed at Advanced & Masters Veteran levels with AAC (at one time was the only mini Doxie competing in AAC) obtaining her ADC, MJDC and competed at Novice level in NADAC and also has her CGC.  Bandit - FCR(April 1998 - March 2008) also earned his ATCHC , BRONZE and Steeplechase agility titles his FDCH in flyball and his CGC.  Cynder - FCR started agility trialing September of 2005 and was in Masters level by January 2006 earning her ATCHC (Agility trial Champion of Canada) before she turned 3 and has also attained her SILVER and her Versatility Bronze Award in AAC agility. She competes in CKC agility and has her JWWI, AGI and 1 leg each towards her Am Novice Std and Novice Fast.   Cynder also competes in hunt and has completed her Can. JH has 1 leg towards her Am JH, has Can/Am WC titles and 1 leg towards her CD. Roxanne and her dogs have attended and qualified at all the Regional competitions since the beginning in 2001.  Magic & Ginger participated at the first ever 2001 AAC nationals in Calgary, placing in the top six in their divisions. Magic qualified but was unable to attend the Nationals in Toronto in 2002.  Bandit competed in the 2003 Nationals in Prince George and the 2005 Nationals in Saskatoon.  He placed 7th in his division at the 2004 AAC Regionals and 6th(on the podium) at the 2005 Regionals. Unfortunately Bandit was injured at the 2006 Nationals and was not able to complete the week-end. Cynder attended and qualified at the Regionals in 2006, 2007 (placed 7th) & 2008 (placed 13) & 2009 (podium placement #5). We have not been able to attend the last 3 Nationals as they have all been back east.

Roxanne is now working with her new puppy Eve and will be competing in conformation, agility, hunt and obedience.  Eve earned her first point towards her Canadian Championship at 6 months of age at her first show by getting a Best of Winners.
