Radford  Retrievers is a small home based breeder of flat-coated retrievers in central British Columbia

.

My husband and I owned and operated Paws Ahead Doggy Daycare and K-9 Sports Centre in Burnaby, B.C.until we sold the business in December 2007 to move to 108 Mile Ranch in the Cariboo. We have both been involved with dogs for many years and have fallen in love with the Flat Coated Retriever.  We also had a Miniature Dachshund for 15 years.

We got involved with flat-coats in 1996 with a pup from Moira Jewell.  Parkburn Old Black Magic was our first performance dog.  We competed in obedience, flyball and agility.  Our second flat-coat was a boy we got when he was already 18 months old, Alexcyril Bandit Nite Tracker.    Both Bandit and Magic took us into a new world of dog sports.  We got our  next flat-coat from Anna Daly of  Eagletarn.  Eagletarn Roxy Music aka Cynder also proved to be an excellent agility dog.  She also introduced us to field work.   We welcomed "Eve" my first breeding Flat-Coat in October 2008, this girl was the start of my new kennel - Radford Retrievers.  She is from Eagletarn and Rockyhill lines.  My male flat-coat "Forrest" was added to our kennel in 2010.  My first litter was born June 15, 2011 out of Eve X Louhke.  We kept a female "Radford Autumn's Eve.

In 2017 we added a lovely girl to our family, Eaglewind Its A Wonderful Life "ZuZu" and in 2019 we added a son of Forrest, Highpoint-Radford All In "Axel"

I am a member in good standing with the following clubs: Flat Coated Retriever Society of Canada - FCRSC (Past President),  FCRSA, CKC, AKC, AAC (Judge), Cariboo Agility Team (President), Lions Club, Cariboo Kennel Club
